Spirituality is a Common History of Truth and Science in Compassion

In love of truth: One of our basic beliefs, steeped in both the western scientific and religious traditions, is that truth prevails.

In common history: It is helpful to understand that in history science first emerged within a primarily religious (that is, a value-oriented) academe.

In sense of compassion: If not for the politics of power, and how people are prone to control of information for the sake of personal gain and political intrigue, the story of western science and religion would be slightly different – yet this difference would have made all the difference. Had the history played out in more collegial ways the divisions between secular and religious, science and faith, would not exist as they do today.

In ways forward: In spite of this history, so many people are seeking a functional reconciliation of values. This often counters the politics of both spheres that today have built up their respective domains, principalities, and powers. However, when it comes to serving people in society who need and want pathways to healing the divisions of the past, people are bound to find solutions.
