This video was such a surprise to us, honest to God. We never imagined all the therapeutic benefits plus how the process of making this video talk opened up our memories of our late sister. It was very confronting. But we decided to honour her memory, and to take courage and just share this moment for real.

As a therapist, we sometimes feel that to model the skills of empathy, sympathy, allowing grief and loss, and embracing of feeling and tears is so important for our clients to see and experience. It takes a great skill to cry with a client and to maintain therapeutic authenticity and good healthy boundaries – but you know what?

These skills of true empathy are ancient and part of feminine wisdom, as women have carried the emotional intelligence of the human species forever. Which is why the feminine teachings of water of life and baptism are ancient traditions across all cultures around the world.
